I remember the first time that I met with Chad and Crystal about their wedding. They were both so sweet, quiet, but knew what they wanted for their wedding. As time passed, Crystal and I started to become friends as she shared everything that she was planning throughout her entire engagement. Every time she would share something about her wedding, I would get excited for their day all over again!
Chad and Crystal came up with an awesome theme for their wedding. It was all based around music. Retro black and red 50’s style bridesmaid’s dresses and tuxes, red roses, and one of the coolest invitations I have ever seen! Their invitation looked like an old vinyl record and concert ticket style r.s.v.p. Crystal was meticulous with the details and it really showed the entire day!
Of course, I am full blooded Minnesotan, so I am totally going to talk about the weather. It was your typical 90 degree August summer day in Duluth, so we did our best to keep everyone comfortably in the shade during photos. We got some nice relief when we left from Vineyard Church and made our way to the DECC to finish photos. The breeze off of the lake was much appreciated! Crystal had an awesome timeline with plenty of time for photos and any delays that are sure to happen on a wedding day.
The Harborside Ballroom at the DECC was flooded with rich red up-lighting and the new name that Chad and Crystal share projected on the wall surrounded by music notes. It paired perfectly with the black linens on the tables and red rose and candle center pieces. Their was even an appearance by Tigger himself, and yes…. he dropped the mic after his speech. It was such a fun and romantic event!
