Today’s Friday post is of Jes’s niece Meghan and her before and after!
This girl is quite the beauty with her big blue eyes! She has the perfect eye shape to apply makeup to and I told her this while I was doing it. She looked at me and said, “really? awesome!”
I loved creating this look! Meghan had this pretty light blue dress that had a Cinderella feel to it and I wanted to incorporate this idea into my color palette for her session. She also had one request, a dark winged liner, because she LOVES a good cat eye. Since getting the Smashbox Master Class Palette which is composed of 32 eye shadows , 3 blushes, 1 contour powder, 1 bronzing powder, and 1 highlighting powder. I am in love! The pigment in the eye-shadows and blushes are fantastic and there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. Some being neutral tones and others being bright and vibrant which is so fun! On Meghan I stuck to a cool toned palette using creams, light greys, light blues and a deep dark blue. You’re probably thinking blue eye-shadow? but blue can be done beautifully in the right circumstances and this was one of them. I used a black gel liner for her slight cat eye. I love gel liner, it goes on so smooth and always seems to look flawless. She wanted a dramatic lash so we added those on to end to give her look a little more glamour.
For her face I used Smashbox’s photo finish primer with a little Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream and then added Smashobx’s Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I added a deep bronzer to her awesome cheekbones to make them pop along with a soft pink blush and a shimmering highlighter. For her lip we choose a bolder rosy mauve that accentuated the blue tones in her shadow.
Meghan truly rocked the modern Cinderella look I was going for! We even did her hair in soft big curls to boost up the glamour.
